India Today, the leading political magazines in India ranked our Superstar as one the top 50 influenced persons in Indian non political arena.Termed as the highly paid actor in the South Film Industry, the magazine says that there is no celebration in Indian cinema without our Superstar Rajinikanth.India Today is well known as the strong criticiser of Rajini in various occassions, now acceppted that Rajini is the only actor who returned crores of money to the exhibitors and distributors who suffered a lot during ther release of Baba and Kuselan.The magazine gave the rank of 28 among the top 50 most powerful persons of India with the title of Pugazh Mannan (The King of Fame).
