Eyebrows were raised in News Delhi even as TN Deputy CM M K Stalin and Union Minister M K Alagiri together met Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Thursday, an unusual sight. The meeting attached no political meaning as Union Minister M K Alagiri wanted to invite the PM for his son Dayanidhi Alagiri’s marriage scheduled to be held next month in TN and so the two brothers had gone to invite him it was stated. Alagiri and Stalin are on a two-day visit to New Delhi and met Dr Singh at his residence in the morning. Stalin said that apart from the invite they had discussed some progress of some developmental projects in the state. Stalin clarified politics was not discussed during the meeting. Alagiri met President Pratibha Patil, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi later and invited them for Dayanidhi''s wedding. It is public knowledge that Alagiri does not see eye to eye with his brother Stalin who is being projected as the future Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Moreover Alagiri is unhappy to be at the Centre as this keeps him out of active politics in his home ground of Madurai where he enjoys immense popularity.

Arun Vijay disappointed
The moment Arun Vijay signed one of the leading Bollywood actresses Prachi Desai for his upcoming film ‘Thadaiyaara Thaaaka’, it became an additional attraction. Having paid her a whopping amount as remuneration, Prachi was supposed to shoot for her portions with Arun Vijay in Chennai. Regrettably, the actress flew back to Mumbai due to personal issues. Apparently, it turned out to be a big disappointment for the entire team as the actress didn’t show up at the sets and is not even attending the phone calls.
It is noteworthy that the makers had erected gigantic sets in Chennai, but everything went in vain as the B-Town missy was absent.
Now the producers are left with no option, but to wait for a while or else opt for some other actresses.

The initial reaction from the CWG Organizing Committee was mixed, as a few members found the song dull and not 'up to the mark'. Rahman had mentioned that he took six months to compose the song. Some officials even said that they wanted a song on the lines of Shakira's Waka Waka for the Football World Cup. Now the latest news is that Rahman has re-modeled the song as requested and the song is now livelier.Prasoon Joshi, the lyricist for the song, said that the song is now 'more vigorous and peppy'. JJ in Madurai
J Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK leader, has lashed out at Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and his son and Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister M.K. Alagiri for “misuse” of official machinery and preventing her party cadres from attending the Madurai rally in large numbers.“With the help of the police you have successfully prevented a large number of people from attending my rally in Madurai on October 18,” Jayalalithaa attacked CM and Alagiri. Out of 50 lakh only 25 percent of people were able to reach Madurai and hear my speech, she said.Jaya added that about 75 per cent of the crowd could not reach the venue as their vehicles were either stopped nearly 35 km away or the police intentionally caused traffic jam to prevent vehicles from entering the city.
